GREEN HEART FERRY TECHNOLOGY

Since 2017, cutting egde technology has reduced emissions, increased battery charging efficiency and reduced safety risks on a ferry route between Sweden and Denmark.

All ferries on the route operate completely on battery power, travelling a distance of approximately 4 km, and carrying more than 7.4 million passengers and 1.9 million vehicles annually, operating the world ́s largest emission-free electric ferries.

Each terminal is fitted with automated shore-side charging stations, using industrial robots to optimize the connection time and therefore maximize the charging period.
